Extension Week

I have progressed well throughout this week. I am still editing the website and my videos. I am trying to find the perfect theme for my website so that It will match my videos that I will also have on the website. I need to use this extension to continue finishing my project and continue editing the website. This week I plan on adding the finishing touches to my project and correcting the mistakes that I have made. I think the project is going to come out well and be very worthwhile to someone who is trying to learn how to play tennis and get better.  I know that my videos will help people that are learning how to play and I think my website will be able to even further clarify what I am saying in my videos. I hope I can make tennis a fun sport for everyone.

Finishing up

Website Editing and Finishing videos

This week I started editing my website and choosing the theme for it.  I plan on trying to link my videos onto the website so that people looking at the website can automatically go to my videos on YouTube without having to search it. This will bring traffic to both of the pages and hopefully get more people to see my content. I am going to need the extension so that I can work on my website and finishing recording and editing my videos. I am working on finishing these two by the 16 and trying to customize my website that it looks authentic. I am using Weebly because it has so many different features that I can customize my website with.  I am overdubbing my videos so that I can explain my videos more in detail by watching them at home. I am on track to help people become better at tennis.

Genius Hour Blog

This has been a very busy week for my project, because I just came back from break and need to record more videos. I need to catch up on the time that I missed because this is very essential to my project. I have a court scheduled this weekend where I can record.  I am incorporating different techniques into my videos, but I need to really to catch up as I am behind on some of my videos. However, this weekend I plan to get majority of the filming done.  I have worked on my backhand stroke and learned the tips I need to tell them in the video. These tips include learning to keep racket head acceleration on the backhand stroke to ensure that the ball is deep in the court.  If I work hard I should have some helpful tips for beginners in the sport.

My tennis videos are coming along well. I now have two videos filmed, however I need to edit one of them and make sure that it is in the right quality for YouTube. Right now, I am working on editing one of my videos right now by putting some background music into it so that it will make the video more entertaining.  I am disappointed because I will be in Colorado this weekend so I will be behind on filming my videos. This means I will have to make up this time after break by filming a couple of videos in one day or so. I plan on filming some of my videos the weekend after break so that I can make up the time that I lost and get back on track. I plan on having my videos done within time so that I can edit them before they are due.

Update

This week I was able to ask my mentor for the perfecting tips on my game so that I could perfect my backhand stroke. I was able to set up a time this weekend where I can film my backhand video on how to hit a backhand, and when to use it in the point.  Right now I am working on filming another one of my videos that I can provide more content and teach people more strokes. My mentor has really helped me on what I should include in my videos and my resources have been very helpful in providing good content as well.  I am very pleased with how the future of this project is shaping up and I am on track to have a great project.
